Ardenwood Farm

I don't like manual labor, but I LOVE farms.. I guess I just like the idea of being self sufficient, I'm just not devoted enough to put the work into doing it! So the house that Alma rents is right behind historic Adrenwood farm, when you walk into the front yard the farm is literally (yes literally) right across the street. Last week I took some of the kids there with some ladies for my new ward (Yes I miss my old ward.. sniff sniff).
Aside from being COLD (Hello! I thought I was in CA??) we had a dern good time at the ferm.. I mean farm.
The gazebo where we had lunchAlex and his random sticks.. I'm tired of always finding sticks in my car! Here chicky, chicky, chicky, I have not given up on my dream to one day own my own chicken.. I should have had one of the kids grab one of these and pass it to me through the fence, where I would have stashed it in the backyard... Why did the chicken cross the road?To get away from the mob of children chasing him! Ohhhh my favorite! The peacocks, they're so prettyI kept telling the peacock to open his feathers so we could see them, and after much persistence he finally did! The lesson to be learned here; Always yell at animals until they do what you want. Look at those cute kids
This horse needs his hair cut.. How can he even see? LOVE this picture of Alex... He is the cutest... I'm not just saying that! How could anyone ever disagree =)

Golden Gate

Prepare to be bombarded with pictures... But we were at the GG bridge! Gotta take lots of pictures!

We started off the "hike" (Can 3 miles
really be considered a hike?) at Crissy field, there were so many people running... I wish I lived closer so I could run along the bridge everyday...

I love this picture (Is it just me or does Lo look unhappy in most of these?). The background almost looks fake, but we were really there!

DISCLAIMER: No, my butt did not grow an extra foot.. That is Alex behind hiding behind me!

Look at Lo's face.. Really? Who could be unhappy here?

This is where the "hike" became somewhat difficult for Alex, we journeyed uphill for about 0.2 miles.. We almost lost him numerous times.. But he managed to miraculously survive somehow.

AWESOME!
Once we made it to the top of the bridge it was SO windy!

YEAH she looks happy! I love, love, love this pic I took of Lo.. She's so pretty!
Hanging out on the pier, we saw a guy fishing (is fishing the right term? Or would it be hunting? Or trapping? I'm going to go with Catching), a guy catching (or attempting to catch) crabs.. Well he had a crab cage, so you put the cage in the water and the crabs just walk right into it??? Because if it's that simple I may have to fish/hunt/trap/catch some delicious crabbies for myself.
Alex is so cute!
We had lunch in China town.. I like China town.. I see enough Asians in Fremont, but it's good to get out and see some more! I think the best part about this lunch was Alma mistaking sugar for MSG!! Yes that's right he thought there was a bottle of MSG on the table so he proceeded to dump it all over his food... Only to realize that it was sugar... The good times never end!

Well here we are...

In CA... The drive was long.... But we didn't have to use any snow chains going through Truckee!! Although I did eat a mysterious ball while we were in Winnemucca... Anyway we're here! And alive! I haven't had time to do much of anything... With 4 kids running around most the time, but I wanted to post a few random pictures... ENJOY!!

More parties

I love Christmas parties! There is nothing better than eating GOOD food with GREAT friends!
Every Christmas season I am able to get together with all my friends from high school. Our group is always expanding, with children! It's weird and fun watching our kids play together!

Then we headed to Price for Brenna's Christmas eves eve party. Brenna knows how to party! I always eat way too much and laugh and night long (the perfect combination for the perfect party!)
Brenna is very.... Festive so this year Natalie, Katy, Alicia, and I decided to join in on the fun! We raided her closet (she had enough festive sweaters to dress every guest at the party!) and got in on the fun! I think we all look pretty dang festive!

Alex and I ended up staying the night in Price, at 3 am Alex woke up and threw up twice in Auntie Brenna's bed, and once on her bathroom floor! He then woke up at 5 am and threw up twice in a strategically placed bucket... We had to be back in SLC by noon so we woke up early to do some laundry, Brenna gave us a bag for catching throw up, and we started the 2 hour journey back to civilization (just kidding Natalie). The hour through the canyon was agonizing! There really isn't anywhere to stop and Alex kept saying "I need am going to throw up, I am going to throw up!" and I kept saying "Do it in the bag. Do it in the bag!" then he would say "I can't, I can't throw up in the bag!", I responded by saying "PLEASE PLEASE throw up in the bag! Just throw up in the bag!". I don't know how, but we somehow made it all the way home with out any throwing up (although we repeated that conversation about sixty times in 2 hours!). Then Lo called and wanted to be picked up from my Dad's (a two minute drive from our house) and what happens.... Thirty seconds before our arrival to my Dad's Alex throws up twice in the car, in the back, all over the floor.

This is why I love children so much... After you have your meltdown (I may have started crying and said "Why is this happening to me!") you get some classic stories..

The BEST party EVER!!!

Decemeber 19, 2009
A delicious miracle occurred.. Zandy threw her chocolate and cheese party.

No we didn't eat chocolate and cheese together.... Although that may be good.. Hmmmm..

We had a chocolate fountain, a crock pot full of scrumptious cheese fondue, a plate of cheese, and an array of yummy things to dip/indulge with! Oh my heck I LOVE food (as we all know), but this party was seriously DIVINE! Everything was SO good, chocolate covered gummy bears, roasted asparagus drizzled with 3 kinds of cheese and Annette's secret sauce, Brie with strawberries, strawberries with chocolate, Gouda and crackers, Challah bread dipped in chocolate, I could go on and on and on... I can not WAIT to make this an annual Christmas tradition!!! Zandy you just better make sure I am in town =)
